Co-Pastor Search Update
We at Imago Dei Church have found ourselves again in a season of transition and waiting, as we search out a new pastoral candidate. The Leadership Team at Imago acknowledges the mixed emotions that come with any transition, especially one where we will be losing two people who have for so long been at the heart and soul of making our church run. While we anxiously await what this new phase of our church’s life will bring, I am reminded that God is never surprised by such changes. Just as he has brought us this far, he will continue to bring us into our next season of life as a church.
The Leadership Team is so pleased with the people of Imago who have stepped up to take on the role as the new Search Committee. This committee includes Jillian Light, Vicky Brown, Kevin McClelland, Becky Krohe, Libby Moore, and Justin Ganschow. The Search Committee has already gotten to work with meetings and has finalized the job description, assigned roles, discussed how to filter candidates, and begun work on interview questions. Having gone through this process so recently we are lucky to not have to ask them to reinvent the wheel but to refine it and they have taken full ownership of that task. The Leadership Team will be rotating through meetings to provide support and guidance when necessary, but want to give ownership of this process to the Search Committee. We have full confidence that this group of people will be thoughtfully considering every applicant and helping to choose someone that will be an ideal fit for our next season at Imago.
The job description has been finalized and we will be posting it within the week, it will be linked on the Imago website. We welcome everyone to pass it along to qualified candidates that might be a good fit for our church. We also encourage any questions about the process to be directed to Leadership Team, we will try and provide as much transparency about the process as we can. You can reach out to any of the Leadership Team members via the Leadership Team page.
Thank you all for your patience as we navigate this process and please be in prayer for those who are involved in making this important decision in the life of our church.
