Honduras Team Wish List
Our team is leaving on June 4th to head to Honduras, and they’d love to have a few more items to take with them for the kiddos in the community. If you have fingernail polish or coloring books (no characters please), please drop them off at church by Sunday, June 2nd. Thank you!
Picnic in the Park | Sunday, June 9th
Join us Sunday, June 9th at 10:30am for our annual picnic at Detweiller Park. Enjoy good food, hiking trails, playground equipment, and conversation. We reserved two neighboring shelters (Pine and Dogwood) so there's plenty of space for everyone. Please bring a side to share, and we'll provide the main course. If you'd like to volunteer to help the event run smoothly, please contact Pastor Dustin.
Collective Poem: Check out “I Am From” chalkboards this Sunday, 5/26
We’re putting together a collective poem and would love for you to participate! Stop by the “I Am From” chalkboards right outside of the sanctuary doors and fill in a space that represents you! Need ideas? There’s a sample available there to help you get started.
Genesis: Summer Break Begins June 2nd
Genesis classes take a break during the summer months but childcare is still available at 9am for kiddos 3 months old to Kindergarten. Thanks to all of the Genesis teachers who have taught and loved our kiddos so well this school year!
Current Teaching Series: Art & Spirituality
This spring we are exploring the intersectionality of arts and spirituality. Not artsy? That’s okay! There will be something we can all take away from this series. In addition to incorporating artistic practices into our Sunday gatherings and providing diverse artistic workshops after Sunday services, each week of the series we will focus on the gifts God gives us all to be continually creative. Keep reading for information on each workshop.
Art & Spirituality Workshops | SUndays, 10:30am
Try your hand at mixed media journaling as Mandy Kampen and Jay Rudd help us get started. Bring in a page that matters to you (text, music, etc), and then use watercolors, pens, and stamps to add your own touch.
Let’s get outside together as Kelly Cochran Cohlman helps us create mandalas. We’ll use what nature provides - stones, flowers, leaves and more - to make these circular designs which have been seen throughout time and across traditions.
