Q & A with Dan Moore
This interview was originally written March 31 of 2022
Hello everyone. I am Dan Moore. My wife, Libby, and I have been attending Imago since they moved into the Gateway Building. We have helped move the church into two different buildings and have volunteered in many different capacities throughout our years at Imago. I started volunteering with Genesis when my son started in the nursery. This got me recruited to the Genesis team, which led me to the Ministry team, and then the Leadership team. I still serve on these three teams today. My wife is one of the worship leaders at Imago, which is her main focus of service. My mother, Linda, also is a very active Imagoan. She serves on the Formation team and is currently on the prayer team and leads the Hot Mess Sisters.
What are you most looking forward to right now?
This summer, my family going on a vacation to Disney World. Our children are 10 and almost 9, which is a great age for this experience. We have been asking many people that have more Disney experience for advice, so we think we are ready. There is so much to think about with this trip, so we are somewhat stressed with the planning. However, I know it will ultimately be a trip my children will never forget.
What would you be doing with your life if resources or money was no concern?
My wife and I are both teachers, so this question is kind of funny. However, I have thought a lot about what I would do if I won the lottery or something to that effect. I think that I would choose to travel the world with my family. I absolutely love to see new places and experience new cultures. I am a history teacher and Libby is a music teacher, so we would probably start in central Europe and Italy. From there we may move into Turkey and Israel and Egypt. Maybe then we will go on Safari and see wild animals of Africa and the ruins of ancient civilizations. Then maybe we will hop on a plane and head over to India and Nepal. In my mind, we can just keep going all around the world from China to South Korea to Japan and down to Australia and on and on and on. It would be my absolute dream to be able to see all these wonderful places.
