Imago Dei's Response to Coronavirus Concerns
By now, we are all aware of the growing concern around the Coronavirus (COVID-19). While it is important to note that there are no known cases of COVID-19 in Peoria County at this time, we do want to take the health and safety of Imagoans and our larger community seriously.
Due to the fact that all public schools, many large gatherings, sporting events, and churches in our community have decided to cancel services, we too have made the difficult decision to cancel Sunday services temporarily. We will not meet this Sunday, March 15th or next Sunday, March 22nd. We will reevaluate the next steps at that time. Stay posted as we will have more details in the coming days about ways we can still find spiritual enrichment and community during this Lenten season.
Rest assured that we are staying informed and will be following the recommendations of the CDC and local health officials as they pertain to large group gatherings. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to share them with any of our co-pastors or Leadership Team.
While times like this can be scary and uncertain, they remind us of our connection to one another and provide an opportunity to demonstrate our faith and trust in God and humanity. And, of course, if you’re not feeling well, we hope you will let us know so that we may care for you. You can email the pastoral team at pastors@imagodeichurch.org.
The Imago leadership asks you to join them in prayer. Please pray for those affected by COVID-19. Pray specifically for the victims of this disease, their families, and for those providing care to the afflicted. We give thanks for the gift of modern medicine and hope for a vaccine. In addition to praying, we are also discussing ways we can provide support to the Peoria Public School District in distributing food to children who are home during these closures.
With love and care,
The Pastors & Leadership Team of Imago Dei Church

What about Breakfast Club?
Because of the nature of our Breakfast Club ministry, we have decided to put this meal on hiatus in its current format. We want to do our part to keep our regular guests as safe as we possibly can. We are currently working with our local shelters to coordinate our efforts to provide the best care for our community. While we will not be picking up guests in our vans and serving from our facility, we will do our best to make sure all are supported during this time.
Dustin and Christina will still be at the church this Sunday morning with pre-packaged breakfast options and fruit from 6am to 7:30am for those guests who may not know about the changes. If you are a regular part of our Breakfast Club Volunteer Team, please check your email and the FB group for updates as details continue to come together.
